We had an incredible opportunity to serve our community with some of our Little Fish team members!
One of our goals as a company this year has been to find more ways to give back to the community, and to get more involved with our local families. Earlier this year, we asked our Little Fish families for suggestions on organizations we could partner with to have an impact on Fredericksburg and the surrounding areas. After many suggestions & some research of our own, we found a local group that had a strong focus on helping those in need, this group is called the 516 Project.
The 516 Project, Inc is a Christian based non-profit construction ministry based in Fredericksburg, Va. Founded in 2016. Their ministry shares the love of Jesus with people in need. They work with individuals, churches and businesses to impact our community by glorifying God through service.
This group has a great program called 2nd Saturday Serve. The goal of this program is to build access to hope in the local area. There are always a variety of different projects going on for a variety of skill levels. Whether you’re a professional contractor or have never swung a hammer, you can serve with them! All they need from their volunteers is a willing heart to serve their community.
