Little Fish Swimming Swim Levels

 

Here at Little Fish Swimming, we have swimming levels for the whole family. Please look below to see where your child would best feel comfortable.

We offer the following swim levels:

Parent & Tot (6 Months – 3 Years)  |  Minnows (3-5 Years)  |  Fish (6+ Years)  |  Sharks (Graduated Level)  |  Stroke & Fitness  |  Adult

Parent & Tot

 

(6 Months – 3 Years)

While your child is a tot, they will be introduced to the water and begin to learn the basic skills of breath exchange (bubbles), floating on their front and back, kicking, and going under water. This class is designed to help your swimmer be safe and comfortable in the water. They will also develop a comfort for not only being in and around the water, but also going underwater. Skills are taught with songs and games that make learning fun for your child!  More Info>>

Little Fish Swimming Parent and Tot Swimming Level

Minnows

 

(3 – 5 Years)

While your child is a minnow, they will learn a number of important safety skills including floating and treading water. They will also develop a comfort not only of being in and around water, but being under the water. Skills are taught with creative games that make learning fun for your child!  More Info>>

What else can my swimmer do?
Minnows are also able to sign up for Summer Camp and Spring Break Camp

Fish

 

(6 Years & Up)

At the Fish level, your child will be trained in the basic safety skills and begin to learn the stroke techniques for both freestyle and backstroke. Learning is always done in a fun environment, making kids want to come back for more!  More Info>>

Sharks

 

(6 Years & Up)

When your child becomes a Shark, they will begin to develop competitive level skills such as turn starts and the four official strokes (Butterfly / Backstroke / Breaststroke / Freestyle). Learning drills to improve stroke technique and basic competition knowledge will give them a competitive advantage if they choose to continue with competitive swimming.  More Info>>

Sharks are able to sign up for Stroke & Fitness, Summer Camp and Spring Break Camp

Stroke & Fitness

 

(Skill Level Requirement)

Swimmers must be able to do a 50 Freestyle and 50 Backstroke unassisted to participate in this program. They also must have a working knowledge of Breaststroke and Butterfly. There is a skill level requirement rather than an age requirement. This level provides a swim team type environment where advanced swimmers can practice up to 3 times per week to improve technique, increase endurance, improve diving and improve turns.  More Info>>

Adults

 

At Little Fish Swimming we have many adults who participate in lessons each month. Whether you are just starting to learn or want to get in shape for an upcoming Triathlon, you can accomplish your goals in the pool starting this month!  More Info>>
