One of the keys to “the best lessons experience” at Little Fish Swimming is the training and relationships that we have with our coaches. Swimmers anticipate seeing their coach each week and working toward passing their next objective. The coach and swimmer relationship is an important one built through trust and encouragement. We are pleased to share with you one of our coaches, Josh!

Coach Bio – Josh Fletcher

1. Are you originally from the Fredericksburg area?

Yes, I was born in Fredericksburg and have been in the area all the way until I started college.

2. Are you in school? What are your plans after graduation?

I’m currently in college studying Computer Science at George Mason University, but I plan to transfer to UMUC to finish my degree online with a focus on Cyber Security. Then I suppose I’ll work in Cyber Security.

3. What are your hobbies or interests?

I enjoy reading, physical activities like hiking, and less stress
inducing things such as playing video games. I’ve recently begun wood working small little projects here and there as well.

4. What is something that you think would surprise people or that you would like them to know about you?

While I have been often told I am quite outgoing, I only developed such a character trait while I was in High School. Before that I was home schooled and was pretty awkward as a kid.

5. What is your favorite thing about being a swim coach?

My favorite thing has to be the knowledge that I’m helping young people gain useful and real skills in an area that I’ve seen many other people struggle with.
